FAQS

  • What Are The Benefits of Flat Rooflights?

Flat rooflights are durable, wonderful to look at, and incredibly energy efficient. Manufactured with laminated glass, a plastic interlayer is included so that the glass, even when broken, stays firmly in place. Flat rooflights with toughened glass are engineered from a thermally broken aluminium frame which provides style, durability and weather resistance. They can be manually operated or electronically controlled and also detect rain. These beautiful roof lights are a great solution to anybody looking to reduce their electricity bills, as they allow far greater levels of light into the room than an ordinary window would.

  • How Do You Clean A Flat Rooflight?

Flat roof lights should be cleaned only with warm soapy water or glass cleaning product. Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners will create scuff marks on the glass and possibly compromise the integrity of the silicone sealant which enables weather resistance. When drying the rooflight, it isn’t recommended to let it dry naturally, as there will be marks left on the window. When aiming for a crystal clear window pane, dry the rooflight with a soft, lint-free cloth. These types of cloths do not leave marks on the panes.

  • Can You Walk On Flat Rooflight?

You can walk on flat rooflights, but only when your window is made with glass designed for this purpose. Although all of the glass used in our flat rooflights is strong and durable, they aren’t supposed to hold the weight of a person. If you’d like to install a window that is safe to walk on, you will need to use toughened laminated glass, a type of glass that endures a destructive heat test to ensure that the glass isn’t liable to shatter when put under pressure.

  • How Much Do They Cost?

Our flat rooflights cost from £386.20 Excluding VAT, which is a great deal that you aren’t likely to find anywhere else! We create our windows based on many different variables including size, curb inclusion, and whether you choose to include low-maintenance glass or ordinary glass panes.  If you don’t see the size you want on our options drop-down menu, contact us for a bespoke quote!
